About the Playhouse

In April 2007, Hershey Area Playhouse at Country Meadows officially opened its doors. It had been the dream of many in the community since the founding on February 7, 1999.

  • Seating capacity: 150 seats

  • Proscenium Opening=19’6”

  • Floor Box to Floor Box width of the mainstage=19’

  • Floor Box to front of Proscenium=25’

  • Back wall to front of proscenium=20’6”

  • Height of back wall= 7’6”, moving up to 8’

  • Height of proscenium= 11’6”

  • Sound system= X32 digital mixer; SHURE wireless microphones

  • Lighting system

Our theater is ADA compliant. We have accessible entrances, toilets, and light switches. A lift to take patrons to the second floor where the theater is located.
